Talks

The best talks don’t just share history—they bring it vividly to life. Stepping into character as Ms. Maple to uncover Agatha Christie’s surprising real life as a surfer, singer, and wartime sleuth, tracing cabaret’s journey from grit to glitter, or celebrating the rich legacies of American and Canadian composers, my presentations are engaging, lively, and full of storytelling.

Combining decades of performance experience with deep research, I create warm, entertaining talks for community groups, history societies, and the Women’s Institute alike—weaving narrative and music together to leave every audience thoroughly captivated and inspired.

Workshops

I believe the best learning happens when people feel safe enough to take risks. Whether I'm leading a Bravery to Sing workshop or an acting workshop, my goal is always the same: to create a relaxed, encouraging space where curiosity replaces fear and people discover they're capable of far more than they imagined. Every workshop is interactive, practical and full of laughter.

I love helping people step outside their comfort zones, trust their instincts and develop skills they can use long after the session ends. From drama schools and professional actors to community groups and the Women's Institute, I tailor every workshop to the people in the room, making each experience engaging, accessible and memorable.

Teaching

I love watching those magical moments when something suddenly clicks—when a student stops second-guessing themselves and simply starts playing. For more than 25 years, I've combined my professional career as an actor, singer and voice artist with teaching performers of all ages and experience levels.

My training has taken me from the University of British Columbia to the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Banff Centre, and years of intensive Meisner study in London with Scott Williams and Kate Maravan. Today, I primarily teach Meisner-based acting, creating supportive, practical classes that build confidence, truthful performance and the freedom to trust your instincts both on and off the stage. Clients describe my visits as "bespoke, highly professional," and bringing that "extra fun factor" that makes the day truly memorable.

Care Homes

With over 25 years of experience as a professional vocalist, my mission is simple: to bring joy, nostalgia, and a touch of magic to care home residents.

I know first-hand how demanding the schedule of a busy Activities Co-ordinator can be. That's why I pride myself on being the "secret sauce" to a seamless, stress-free event. I'm flexible, self-contained, and thrive on creating fun, smooth experiences that keep you on schedule and on budget—so you can finally enjoy that well-deserved cup of tea!

What I Bring

  • A Rich & Varied Repertoire: A lively, hour-long program featuring everything from show tunes and classical favorites to jazz, swing, rat pack, and country. Think Julie Andrews, Frank Sinatra, Cole Porter, and Doris Day.
  • Interactive Engagement: I keep talking to a minimum and let the music do the work. I invite residents to sing along, join in with gentle chair dancing, and engage with colorful sensory props like scarves and shakers.
  • 1-to-1 Room Visits: In addition to lounge performances, I offer premium, personalized 1-to-1 bedside singing sessions for residents who are bedbound.
  • Complete Peace of Mind: I hold a Level 3 Safeguarding certification, meaning resident dignity, safety, and compliance are always my absolute priorities.
  • A Seamless & Self-Contained Experience: You don't need to worry about a thing. I travel across London (based in Greenwich) and arrive with a slimline, space-saving PA system that sets up in just ten minutes.
